Chess

Get your child ahead by teaching them how to play chess. We approach chess in two ways: through fun stories and progressing slowly – we always make sure the children are fully engaged to what we are doing. We believe strongly in the power oа storytelling and creating fun to spur on strategy and competition. Our teachers are expert storytellers, people that heartedly can connect with children and bring the game of chess through our expertly crafted core curriculum.

Our core curriculum: Each week there will be stories, games, and creative instruction. The opening lessons are the piece mechanics: how they move, what they like to do and their relationship to each other. The next section will be basic strategy: how to play a full game and what sequences to use in the beginning. After strategy we focus on sportsmanship. How to build friendships when they play, how to win and lose, and the life lessons associated with chess.
