We care about what our parents and schools are saying about us. We’re in the business of providing positive experiences and opportunities through sports and creative play. Your kids’ happiness is our success.
We noticed an improvement in our daughter’s happiness and behavior during the time she attended KING camp. The structure and activity combined with the friendly counselors, campers, and staff is without a doubt the reason for this positive change. Can’t wait to sign up again next summer!
My child is growing up in KING. He has been in KING for the past two years; since kindergarten. My child has been part of KING afterschool, KING summer camp, KING sports and now KING remote. KING has been a vital part of my son’s growth. All the coaches are amazingly wonderful, supportive and kind, not only the coaches are kind, attentive to children’s needs, and very fun, they also understand the parents’ needs to adjust scheduling. From Program director, to the coaches, and office staffs all have always been forthcoming with information and helpful. And during this pandemic KING summer camp ran an amazing safe in person summer camp without any COVID issues, keeping my and other little ones safe. it is an amazing program, I am extremely lucky to have for my child.
Our daughter absolutely LOVED her time at Kids In The Game summer camp (Riverdale). The coaches were wonderful and coach Tracey was so involved, communicative with parents, and had such great enthusiasm. All of the coaches brought positive vibes and clearly enjoyed the kids. We will definitely do another summer next year!
I am so grateful to the KING staff for making summer camp happen in 2020. They’ve worked extra, super hard to ensure a safe and fun environment for the kids who have been stuck at home for more than three months. The activities have been modified for social distancing. They spent a good amount of time playing in Central Park. My boys were in the UES camp for five weeks and had a wonderful time. We’ll be back next year, hopefully without having to wear masks.
This program was perfect during this challenging covid-19 summer. Sign up was flexible//week by week and the staff took careful health safety precautions. My six-year-old had a great time doing all sorts of much-needed activities after months of being home. The staff was welcoming, communicative, and super spirited — just the kind of energy we needed!
We were initially pretty nervous about sending our 3 yr old to camp due to the pandemic. However, the camp’s plan of keeping social distance between everyone as well as smaller groupings and frequent hand washing and sanitizing made me feel more assured. My kid was also comfortable wearing a mask all day at camp. Obviously, while I am not minimizing the risk we decided to take, I am so so glad we sent our child to camp. He was so happy with the activities, especially the water games in the summer heat. He came home talking endlessly about how much fun he had with different coaches and friends. We once asked him whether he ever missed us (his family) while at camp, and he, without hesitating and very confidently, said he has so much fun at camp that he doesn’t miss us AT ALL (promise the home situation isn’t that bad…). We are so grateful to Kids in the Game for all the awesome time and memories that our kid had during this otherwise tough summer.
KING camp at Riverdale location has been phenomenal. My seven year old looks forward to camp everyday. He loves his coaches and shares stories with me daily about all the fun he is having, the support he gets from coaches and the encouragement to have fun and enjoy the games! I hear about all of the creative activities, games and sports and get daily emails from the camp leadership with updates, reminders and opportunities to ask questions and participate In activities via zoom. He enjoyed camp so much after the first week that we enrolled our niece who is 10. She raves about camp and doesn’t want to miss a day. As a parent I have really appreciated all of the open lines of communication, the daily commitment to health and safety and the creative solutions for parental involvement and interactivity without in-person gathering. The daily temperature checks and social distancing practiced by coaches, campers and parents helps me feel safe and confident that my son is also safe every day.
Kids in the game summer camp has exceeded my expectations as a skeptical paranoid mother of 2 during the covert 19 pandemic. They really make every effort to assist parents and make the kids feel comfortable, especially shy and reluctant ones like mine. They regularly communicate and keep parents informed. They put out safety measures and the staff visibly adheres to them. Their energy and excitement level every morning at drop off and right through to afternoon pickup is contagious and inspiring. They learn every parent and child’s name and make each individual feel special and important. My kids wake each morning wanting to go to camp. The management team, Tracy Lewis and Tamara really set the tone for the entire staff and camp and are always available for questions and concerns. So glad I stayed with them, but more importantly my kids are happy and learning in a positive, safe, friendly environment. That safe, positive, happy learning environment is priceless.
LOVE the KING staff and program!! The staff is excellent and takes great care of all the children. They are attentive, enthusiastic, and really seem to care about the whole child. I felt safe sending my child, even through the pandemic, because of the vast safety measures the staff has seriously taken. Coach Tracey and Tamara give the warmest welcome (always by name since day one) and quickly help if you or your child ever need anything. The program itself is also fun and engaging. My son comes home happy and teaches me new games, dance moves, and even addition that he learned at camp. He talks about his coaches a lot, which he usually doesn’t do, so I know the staff really do go out of their way to form a relationship with the children. I love how they also include the parents and allow us to see how our children are doing through Zoom videos and special performances. So thoughtful, so fun, so safe. I cannot say enough good things about this program and staff!
There was a lot of anxiety before camp started because we were concerned about how our kids would acclimate to a new environment with the new COVID-19 procedures. Happy to say everything went smoothly! From temperature checks to social distancing, the coaches at KING made sure everyone stayed safe, while having a great time. It was a wonderful experience!!
Has been a GREAT experience for my son, we actually extended for an additional week. Besides being a great camp experience on its own, it is safe and I feel so much more comfortable with him returning to school in the fall having had the experience of wearing a mask during activities and socially distancing from his peers. He goes to bed super tired at night, wakes up energized for the next day of camp, and (added bonus for me) has been spending significantly less time on his electronic devices. Win win all around.
For our first time experiencing KING camp was amazing!! Especially during these crazy scary times, they made me feel so comfortable and kids safe. My daughter and Godson had a blast and came home happy everyday. Coach Tracey was so welcoming and all the staff was always so happy and helpful. Even through the mask you can see everyone smiling.
Very very very very very very very fun!!!!!
I joined the Kids in the Game summer camp at the Riverdale location. It was my second year at this site. I loved it last year as well, but this year was even more special because of the pandemic. My parents were very reluctant to send me to the camp this summer, but after speaking with Coach Tracey, they felt it was worth trying. It turned out to be such a great experience…all the coaches were caring, energetic and made sure everyone was safe at the camp. Coach Tracey and his team did a wonderful job of running the camp with all the safety protocols and screening procedures every single day, and there was no problem for the entire time I was there. My parents originally agreed to send me for three weeks, but I was having so much fun that I begged my mom and dad to add more weeks, so I ended up going for five weeks of regular camp, and I am going to join two more weeks of Sports and Swim camp.
After having to stay home for four months in the spring, and possibly staying home for many more months this fall and winter, being able to spend this summer at the camp with a lot of friends and friendly coaches, playing and swimming outside, was extremely important for me. We are truly grateful that this turned out to be a very positive experience for me and my parents.
Kids in the Game gets 5 stars from me! My son attended the Riverdale location this summer, and I have to say that I am beyond impressed and grateful to them for going above and beyond with the kids – ESPECIALLY during these crazy times with pandemics and blackout causing storms! Sanitizer was given at the entrance, temps. were taken daily for both parents and kids, and the coaches did a good job encouraging the kids to keep their masks on. Coach Tracey (The camp director) did a great job making sure parents were well informed all summer, Coach Tamara was amazing with my son and always made sure to keep me posted on how he was doing, and all the other Coaches were extremely friendly and great at keeping the kids excited and motivated for the day.
Thank you K.I.N.G. ! We will see you next summer!
